Jared + Shiloh Dance Off

So aside from being an amazing wedding, the reception was quite the dance party. I have never seen a wedding party and guests dance as long and hard as these guys did. I enjoyed the expressions of the bidde and groom so much, that I had to post a whole separate post of their reception pictures. Here are some of my favorites.

Jared and Shiloh came, they laughed, they cried, and they conquered. I had the opportunity to shoot this amazing wedding at the Darlington House, and had the talented Colleen Sherman by my side as a secondary. Both of the families were amazing and I have never seen a wedding with a such fun guests.

The entire day was a celebration and I loved every part of it. I knew that once I was done shooting Jared and Shiloh’s engagement, they were going to be one of my favorite couples. They deeply love each other, their family, and other. We have prayed for each other, laughed together, and I hope I get to get to see more of this couple in my future. So blessed.

BTW, I had to make a whole separate post for Jared and Shiloh’s awesome dance moves…..Peep It.

Kyle + Laura Married

If I had to pick on word to describe this couple, it would definitely be “passion.” They are not only passionate about each other, but more importantly passionate about God and others. These two beautiful people have devoted their lives to investing in others through relationships, missions, and social justice. I could not have been more blessed to be a small part in their greater story. I absolutely love Kyle and Laura to death and you will definitely be able to see their love for each other in these images.

While talking about social justice, I also had an amazing time documenting this wedding with Kevin Trout and Ashley Gutierrez of Fourth Floor Media….who also are involved with Invisible Children. IC is one of the non-profits that 1011 gladly supports, so it was awesome to co-labor with them. Big shout out to Kevin & Ashley! You can see what they captured from their perspective here. Always a pleasure to work with new & fun vendors.

Degan + Angelina Married

So 17 months ago I got hired as a full time graphics designer at a company called Esri. Little did I know that on that same day, a future client, bride, and friend was also getting hired. Angelina and I are coworkers and have become good friends, so I was pleased to find out that she wanted me to be her wedding photographer. Degan and Angelina have been best friends forever and are finally tying the knot. They are sooooo down to earth and I couldn’t have picked a better couple to shoot. So excited to shoot their wedding this year. Enjoy.

Chris + Allissa Married

So after crazy snow reports, putting on chains in a blizzard, and attempting not to kill myself on the way to this wedding, I finally arrived to the beautiful Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. Chris and Allissa were a beautiful couple and in spite of the weather, kept their spirits high. Unfortunately, we had to move the ceremony inside, but the trade off was worth it. We had a fresh drop of snow and the wedding party was brave enough to tackle the cold. We got some great images and Jacob Mariano kept me on track as my secondary. It turned out to be a great day and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Much Love!

Doug + Sarah Engaged

I was completely stoked when Doug and Sarah asked if it would be okay to do their shoot at the horse races. I love when a couple gets creative and does something out of the ordinary. We took a drive over to the Santa Anita Park and had a great time hanging around and making some photographs. Also had the pleasure of working with my beautiful wife Erica (aka 1011makeup…..she is pretty awesome). Enjoy.

So this was a shoot of many firsts for me. It was the first time I had the opportunity to shoot at the Encinitas Botantical Gardens, the first time I had planned to shoot in the rain, and the first time I have been prayed for by my bride and groom to be. Shiloh and I had scheduled this shoot for a couple ago and we had to reschedule due to the rain. Ironically, the day we rescheduled to ended up showing rain in the forecast also. Jared & Shiloh wanted to roll with it and do a ”Rainy Engagement.” I was completely excited for this and came ready to get wet. The morning ended up being a beautiful one, and we had a great “dry” shoot. Jared and Shiloh are beautiful people and I can not wait to shoot their wedding this year at the Darlington House in June. Enjoy!

Here is a quick little post of a lovely family I got to shoot in down town Redlands, CA. It was probably one of the best behaved kids I have ever taken pictures of…made my job easy. I also loved the contrast between the baby and the tattoos. Enjoy. Much Love!

So photographing lovely couples is always a pleasure, however it is even better when they are good friends. Laura was a best friend and roommate to my wife Erica. We had a great time hanging out and shooting the smily couple. I cant explain how special it is to share these moments in peoples relationships. Cant wait for their wedding!

Gabe + Amanda Married

Character, Character, Character!!!!! This wedding was the last of my season and definitely one of my most favorite of the year. It was a small and intimate wedding on the top of Temecula Wine Country at the Temecula Farm House. This venue was perfect for a smaller wedding like this and was bleeding with antiques and awesome little nick-nacks. On top of the amazing venue, I had an amazing hair & make up artist (my wife 1011 Make Up) and Gabe and Amanda are an amazing couple with awesome style and huge laughs. It was a great way to finish off the year. Enjoy! Congrats Gabe & Amanda!

P.S. Oh and the Bride & Groom were both wearing TOMS (including me)….had to take some details. IF you havent heard of TOMS shoes you need to check it out. They are all I wear.
